Governance

Governance of the Urano Ecosystem

The Urano Ecosystem operates as a decentralized and community-driven platform, allowing $URANO token holders to actively participate in decision-making processes. Governance is designed to ensure that the community has a direct influence on key aspects of the ecosystem, from platform upgrades to RWA tokenization approvals.

Voting Power and Participation

Governance within Urano is fully on-chain, leveraging $URANO staking to determine voting power:

1 $URANO Staked = 1 Voting Power

To participate in governance, users must stake their $URANO tokens, which grants them voting rights proportional to the amount staked. The more $URANO a user stakes, the greater their influence over the ecosystem’s decisions.

Decision-Making Process

  1. Proposal Submission Governance discussions start within the Urano community, where users can propose changes related to tokenization strategies, platform developments, or ecosystem improvements.

  2. Community Review & Discussion The proposal is shared within governance channels for open discussions. Feedback from the community helps refine the proposal before it moves to a vote.

  3. Snapshot Voting Staked $URANO holders vote on proposals using their voting power (1 $URANO = 1 vote). Voting occurs on a dedicated governance interface within the Urano Platform.

  4. On-Chain Execution If a proposal meets the required threshold, it is automatically executed on-chain, ensuring transparency and decentralization.

Types of Governance Proposals

Holders of staked $URANO can vote on various governance aspects, including:

  • Approval of new RWA tokenization proposals

  • Ecosystem upgrades

  • Community Initiatives
